Rupee trades flat against US dollar on Wednesday
Indian rupee was trading almost flat against the US dollar on Wednesday tracking soaring crude oil prices and weak domestic equities. Meanwhile, weaker American currency at overseas markets, RBI's regular intervention and fresh foreign fund inflows supporting domestic currency. Foreign Institutional Investors were net buyers in the capital markets as they purchased shares worth Rs 263.68 crore on Tuesday, exchange data showed. Investors are focused on this week’s speeches by the US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell for further clues on the US central bank's monetary policy path.

The partially convertible currency is currently trading flat at its previous close of 83.25 on Tuesday. The currency touched a high and low of 83.2625 and 83.23 respectively.
