Rupee trades flat against US dollar on Tuesday
Indian rupee was trading flat against the US dollar on Tuesday as investors are awaiting cues from the Reserve Bank of India's monetary policy outcome. Higher demand for the American currency from importers and foreign fund inflows into capital markets have kept the rupee flat. Foreign institutional investors were net buyers in the capital market on Monday as they purchased shares worth Rs 2,073.21 crore, exchange data showed.
The partially convertible currency is currently trading flat at its previous close of 83.38 on Monday. The currency touched a high and low of 83.41 and 83.3725 respectively.
