Royal Netherlands Navy Dy Commander Rob de Wit calls Indian Ocean crucial for Dutch Economy
Speaking on 9th edition of the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) Conclave of Chiefs, Royal Netherlands Navy Deputy Commander Rob de Wit on Feb 20 said that Indian Ocean is very important for Dutch Economy. “Indian Ocean is very important for Dutch Economy…We are very grateful that we are invited on this 9th Conclave. It is very important to be here and we are very grateful for India to hosted this important event…We need to be here in a multilateral platform and discussed the challenges we have to make sure that we are secure and stable…,” said Rob de Wit.“The message we basically want to communicate is that India is a basically country. We understand the challenges and India’s global power increases. We are willing to step forward and take responsibility…,” said Tarun Sobti.
