REC surges as its arm incorporates wholly owned subsidiaries
REC is currently trading at Rs. 359.70, up by 4.75 points or 1.34% from its previous closing of Rs. 354.95 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 355.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 362.45 and Rs. 353.55 respectively. So far 67373 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 408.80 on 25-Jul-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 304.10 on 30-Mar-2026.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 362.45 and Rs. 347.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 94545.91 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.63%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.79% and 14.57% respectively.
REC’s wholly owned subsidiary -- REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL) has incorporated wholly owned subsidiaries in the names of Beed Parli Power Transmission and Yavatmal Power Transmission. The said companies are also subsidiary companies of REC, in terms of the provisions of Section 2(87) of the Companies Act, 2013
Beed Parli Power Transmission has been incorporated on July 17, 2026 for establishment of 765 kV AIS Parli (District - Beed). Yavatmal Power Transmission has been incorporated July 18, 2026 for establishment of 400 kV AIS Yavatmal (Babhulgaon) (Dist. - Yavatmal).
