Real estate firm Signature Global slips into Rs 16.5 crore loss in Q1

Real estate developer Signature Global on Thursday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 16.5 crore for the first quarter of the current financial year (Q1 FY27), compared with a net profit of Rs 34.4 crore in the corresponding quarter last financial year (Q1 FY26).

The company's revenue from operations also declined during the quarter, falling to Rs 552 crore from Rs 865.6 crore in the year-ago period, according to its stock exchange filing.

At the operating level, Signature Global reported an EBITDA loss of Rs 44.7 crore in the June quarter, compared with an EBITDA profit of Rs 33 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year.

The shares of the real estate developer closed Thursday's trading session almost flat at Rs 811, down by 0.33 per cent or Rs 2.70. In last five days, the shares down by 0.4 per cent or Rs 3.25.

However, on one month timeframe, the trend reversed and the stock has delivered a positive return of 2.82 per cent or Rs 22.25.

In last six months, the shares were down by 8.88 per cent or Rs 79. On year-to-date (YTD) basis, the drop pronounced and shares were down by 28.15 per cent or Rs 317.70.

Commenting on the company's performance, Pradeep Kumar Aggarwal, Chairman and Whole-Time Director, said that the company performance during the quarter reflects the strength of our business model and disciplined execution.

“While revenue recognition was influenced by project timelines, our underlying business fundamentals and execution momentum remain strong, supported by a robust project pipeline and steady construction progress. Healthy demand, an improved product mix, and higher sales realisations drove strong pre-sales performance, reinforcing homebuyers’ trust in the Signature Global brand,” he stated.

“The quarter also marked our entry into the branded residences segment through our partnership with Tonino Lamborghini. The strong response to the launch validates our premiumisation strategy and strengthens our position in the premium housing segment,” Aggarwal mentioned.

Headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, Signature Global is one of India's prominent real estate developers with a strong presence in the Delhi-NCR market.

The company initially built its business around affordable housing but has, in recent years, expanded its portfolio into the mid-income and premium residential segments, while also developing commercial projects across the region.
