Rane (Madras) shines on completing acquisition of HCL's Friction Business

Rane (Madras) is currently trading at Rs. 1102.20, up by 27.90 points or 2.60% from its previous closing of Rs. 1074.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1094.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1119.20 and Rs. 1094.95 respectively. So far 645 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1323.00 on 09-Jul-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 612.50 on 30-Mar-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1,119.20 and Rs. 1073.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3059.98 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.45%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 1.10% and 28.44% respectively.

Rane (Madras) has completed acquisition of the Friction Business of Hindustan Composites (HCL). The Business Transfer Agreement was signed on June 30, 2026 and was subject to customary regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. With the conditions having been fulfilled, the transaction has now been successfully completed.

HCL's Friction Business will be integrated into the company's Brake Components Business. The acquisition strengthens the company's established leadership in the friction business. The integration will proceed in a phased manner to maximize value for our customers and stakeholders, driving operational synergies while leveraging the complementary strengths of both businesses.

The acquisition is expected to be EPS accretive from the year one onwards, while creating further opportunities for revenue and operational synergies.
