Ramkrishna Forgings shines on commencing Cold Forgings facilities at Jharkhand

Ramkrishna Forgings is currently trading at Rs. 803.65, up by 19.85 points or 2.53% from its previous closing of Rs. 783.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 807.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 807.30 and Rs. 798.45 respectively. So far 5860 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1064.00 on 15-Oct-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 601.70 on 14-Mar-2024.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 812.50 and Rs. 723.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 14479.91 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 43.16%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.45% and 27.39% respectively.

Ramkrishna Forgings has commenced Cold Forgings facilities at Jharkhand with effect from January 31, 2025 with the production capacity of 25,000 Tonnes Per Annum (TPA). The total forgings capacity of the company will now be 2,54,150 TPA including 25000 TPA of Cold Forgings. 

Cold Forgings is a new form of forging process which has been commissioned by the company. It is a metal working process used to shape metal without the application of heat that shapes metal at room temperature using pressure to improving the strength of the metal through strain hardening with high durability and dimensional accuracy. 

This method is highly valued for producing complex shapes and intricate designs. The forgings produced through this process are stronger, more ductile and more resistant to fatigue and shock with improved mechanical properties. It can also produce forgings with close tolerance and with a superior surface finish. 

Ramkrishna Forgings is engaged in the manufacture of Screw Couplings, Draw Gear Assembly, Snubber Assembly, Hanger, Block Hanger Side Frame Key and various other forgings items of Railway Coaches and Wagon.
