Quote on Markets: April 27, 2026 Mr. Vikram Kasat, Head Advisory, PL Capital "The market staged a resilient recovery today, with benchmark indices bouncing back as investors engaged in value buying across key sectors. The Sensex gained over 460 points, while the Nifty successfully reclaimed the 24,000 psychological level. This rebound was largely driven by a renewed interest in IT and Pharma stocks, which provided the necessary cushion against the continued drag in select private banking names.

Despite the positive close, the underlying macro environment remains complex. Crude oil prices hovering above $106 per barrel and the persistent geopolitical tensions in the Middle East continue to act as a ceiling for a sustained bull run. We are seeing a 'risk-on' sentiment in midcaps and smallcaps, but the large-cap trajectory will likely stay dependent on the next leg of Q4 earnings and any potential de-escalation in global supply route disruptions. The outlook for the immediate term remains one of 'cautious optimism.' While technical supports have held for now, investors should remain selective, focusing on sectors with strong earnings visibility to navigate the ongoing volatility."
