Bullion Outlook:
Gold and silver prices are witnessing mixed movements on Dhanteras 2026 as investors remain cautious ahead of the US October jobs report. The US Dollar Index (DXY) has strengthened to around 101.7, supported by strong private payroll data and lower jobless claims, although expectations of a December Federal Reserve rate cut have also influenced market sentiment. COMEX gold is hovering around $4,044 per ounce, while MCX gold is trading near 142,200. Meanwhile, international silver prices are around $51.40 per ounce, with MCX silver hovering near 184,000. Despite festive-season buying interest, a stronger dollar could limit the upside in bullion. Investors will closely track the US employment data and changing Fed rate expectations for further direction.
Crude Oil Outlook:
Crude oil prices are attempting to regain momentum amid continued geopolitical uncertainty, with WTI crude trading around $91.70 per barrel and Brent near $102.50 per barrel, while MCX crude oil is hovering around ?8,667. However, prices have recently faced pressure following the Democrats’ sweeping victory in the US midterm elections, which has raised expectations of increased political pressure on the Trump administration to bring an end to the month-long conflict with Iran. Expectations of a possible diplomatic resolution have eased some geopolitical risk premium in the market. Going forward, crude oil prices are likely to remain sensitive to developments in US-Iran negotiations, regional supply disruptions and broader geopolitical conditions.
