The focus is on capital expenditure—growing faster than revenue spending—shows a shift toward investing in tomorrow's wars rather than just sustaining today's forces. It's strongly aligned with Atmanirbhar Bharat with continued push for domestic manufacturing. This should accelerate indigenous production, reduce import reliance, boost private sector involvement, and fuel defence exports.  In a volatile neighborhood, this Rs. 7.85 lakh crore , a 15% hike over the previous year isn't extravagant; it's prudent realism investing heavily in peace through strength.
