Pullela Gopichand praises daughter Gayatri, partner Treesa after BWF World Championships bronze
On the bronze medal win of his daughter Gayatri Gopichand and Women’s Doubles partner Treesa Jolly at the BWF World Badminton Championships 2026, Pullela Gopichand (father of Gayatri) said, "I'm very happy with the girls', I think they fought really hard... Very happy with the way they conducted themselves and played this week... These are experiences that you get once in a lifetime, such as hosting a tournament in our country as big as the World Championships, and winning a medal there. I think not only is it great... I think it inspires a lot..."
