The Nifty exhibited a neutral to positive performance with high volatility throughout the day after a gap down opening on its weekly expiry. Bank nifty also encountered volatility but closed negative for the day. Bank Nifty managed to close above the strong support of 49000 levels.

The market has traded positive with the Sensex gaining 0.17 percent and closed at 74611.11 and Nifty was positive by 0.19 percent intraday and closed at 22648.20 levels whereas Bank Nifty closed Negative, down by 0.34 percent and settled at 49231.05.

Among sectors Nifty AUTO, Nifty METAL and Nifty FMCG ended in green while Nifty PSU BANK, Nifty MEDIA and Nifty PVT BANK ended on the lower side. In Nifty stocks, BPCL, POWERGRID and ASIAN PAINTS were the top gainers while KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK, TATA CONSUMER PRODUCT and BHARTI AIRTEL were the prime laggards.

INDIA VIX was Positive by 4.47 percent intraday and settled at 13.4450.

Index has a support around 22550-22450 zone.  Coming to the OI Data, on the call side, the highest OI observed at 22700 followed by 23000 strike prices while on the put side, the highest OI is at 22500 strike price. On the other hand, Bank nifty has support at 48900-48700 while resistance is placed at 49550 and 49800 levels.
