Below the Perspective on Market by Mr. Vinit Bolinjkar, Head of Research at Ventura Securities
"The Indian stock market has shown impressive resilience, with the Sensex rising by around 1,200 points (1.48%) and Nifty surpassing the 23,700 mark. This rally is driven by strong performances in banking and energy sectors, supported by Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) returning as net buyers. On March 21, FPIs purchased Indian equities worth Rs. 7,470 crore, marking the largest single-day inflow in four months. Alongside this, the Indian Rupee has appreciated against the US Dollar, reflecting improved investor sentiment and foreign inflows.
This strengthening of the Rupee is supported by favorable domestic factors and the RBI’s policies. However, global uncertainties, including potential shifts in U.S. monetary policy and geopolitical tensions, could introduce volatility. While the market shows positive momentum, investors should stay cautious and consider these external risks when making decisions."
