Opening Bell : Markets likely to make flat-to-negative start on Wednesday

Indian equity markets are likely to make a flat-to-negative start on Wednesday weighed down by elevated crude oil prices amid escalating U.S.-Iran tensions and lingering global trade concerns. However, some support may come as foreign institutional investors (FIIs) turned net buyers on Tuesday, purchasing Indian equities worth Rs 1,650.16 crore.

Back home, Indian equity benchmarks extended losses to the second straight session on Tuesday as escalating US-Iran conflict, uptick in crude oil prices and persistent foreign fund outflows reinforced a risk-off sentiment in the markets.
