NTPC gains on getting nod to invest in Lara Super Thermal Power Project
NTPC is currently trading at Rs. 346.30, up by 1.80 points or 0.52 % from its previous closing of Rs. 344.50 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 345.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 348.45 and Rs. 344.00 respectively. So far 69469 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 414.40 on 27-Apr-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 315.55 on 09-Dec-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 359.30 and Rs. 342.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 336813.70 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.10%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.80% and 3.10% respectively.
NTPC has received approval for the investment proposal for the Lara Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-III (2x800 MW), at current estimated cost of Rs 20,456.70 crore. The Board of Directors of the company, in its meeting held on July 11, 2026 has approved the same.
