NMDC climbs on reporting 42% rise in iron ore production during July

NMDC is currently trading at Rs. 72.05, up by 1.61 points or 2.29% from its previous closing of Rs. 70.44 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 71.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 72.15 and Rs. 70.66 respectively. So far 190432 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 82.72 on 10-Dec-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 59.56 on 07-Apr-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 72.78 and Rs. 70.29 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 63169.21 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.79%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.69% and 12.52% respectively.
NMDC has registered a 42.40% rise in its iron ore production to 3.09 million tonnes (MT) in July 2025. The company had produced 2.17 MT iron ore in July last year. The sales volumes increased 13.07% to 3.46 MT in July 2025 from 3.06 MT in the same month a year ago.
The company’s Chhattisgarh mines produced 1.89 MT of iron ore and registered sales volume of 2.15 MT in July 2025, while Karnataka mines produced 1.20 MT of iron ore and sold 1.31 MT of iron ore in July 2025.
NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
