Maruti Suzuki India jumps as its production rises 26% in September

Maruti Suzuki India is currently trading at Rs. 16020.00, up by 214.55 points or 1.36% from its previous closing of Rs. 15805.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 15810.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 16039.25 and Rs. 15710.65 respectively. So far 5832 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 16438.20 on 26-Sep-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 10725.00 on 24-Dec-2024.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 16369.95 and Rs. 15710.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 502729.72 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.28%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.53% and 3.18% respectively.

Maruti Suzuki India's production rose 26 per cent year-on-year in September 2025 as the company increased vehicle dispatches to cater to the market demand. The country's largest carmaker rolled out 2,01,915 units from its production sites across the country in September 2025, compared with 1,59,743 units in September 2024.  

The company produced 12,318 units of Alto and S-Presso in September, marginally up compared to 12,155 units in the year-ago period. Production of compact models like Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Swift, WagonR, OEM Model increased to 93,301 units in September against 68,413 units in the same month last year. There was no production of Ciaz in September, while the automaker had rolled out 1,687 units of the mid-sized sedan in September last year.  

Manufacturing of utility vehicles, such as Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Jimny, XL6, Victoris, OEM Models, witnessed a 27 per cent year-on-year rise to 79,496 units in September. The company had produced 62,752 units in the year-ago period. Eeco production climbed to 13,201 units from 11,702 vehicles in September last year. Production of Super Carry LCV grew to 3,599 units in September against 3,034 units in the same period last year. 

Maruti Suzuki India is an automobile manufacturer in India. It provides passenger cars, utility vehicles and vans. The firm also offers pre-owned car sales, fleet management and car financing services.
