Maharashtra Budget 2026–27: `Third Mumbai` Vision and Affordable Housing Push to Boost Real Estate
Samyak Jain, Director, Siddha Group, said “The Maharashtra Budget 2026–27 presents a transformative roadmap for the real estate sector. The ‘No New Slum Framework’ targeting redevelopment of 20 lakh tenements along with the creation of 10 lakh affordable homes in the MMR reflects the government’s clear commitment to inclusive urban development.
The concept of ‘Third Mumbai’ opens up an entirely new geography for planned residential and commercial growth. Additionally, the integration of AI into the Auto DCR system could significantly improve approval timelines and bring much-needed efficiency to project execution.
With metro expansion and stronger regional development frameworks, the budget lays a strong foundation for sustained housing demand across Maharashtra.”
