M&M rises on reporting 15% growth in total auto sales in January

The scrip opened at Rs. 1657.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1669.40 and Rs. 1650.10 respectively. So far 12673 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1758.00 on 29-Dec-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1124.00 on 28-Mar-2023.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1702.45 and Rs. 1609.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 206301.43 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 19.32%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 67.20% and 13.48% respectively.
Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has reported a 15 per cent growth in total automotive sales at 73,944 units in January 2024, as compared to the same month a year ago. Passenger vehicles sales in January 2024 stood at 43,068 units, as against 33,040 units in January 2023, up 30 per cent.
Sales of utility vehicles also grew by 31 per cent at 43,068 units in January 2024, as against 32,915 units in the corresponding month a year ago. On the commercial vehicle front, the company sold 23,481 units in India in January, compared to 21,724 units in the year-ago period. However, total automotive exports were down 42 per cent at 1,746 units last month, as compared to 3,009 units in January 2023.
