LIC gains as its consolidated net profit rises 24% in Q1

Life Insurance Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 392.75, up by 5.20 points or 1.34% from its previous closing of Rs. 387.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 393.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 397.00 and Rs. 390.95 respectively. So far 16.35 lakh shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 468.30 on 07-Nov-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 361.00 on 02-Apr-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 431.20 and Rs. 385.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4,96,702.07 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 96.50%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 1.43% and 2.07% respectively. 

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has reported 22.81% rise in its net profit at Rs 13,492.03 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1FY27) as compared to Rs 10,986.51 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The total income of the company has increased by 6.72% at Rs 2,37,847.70 crore for Q1FY27 as compared to Rs 2,22,863.61 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 23.98% rise in its net profit at Rs 13,584.25 crore for Q1FY27 as compared to Rs 10,957.05 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The total income of the company has increased by 6.69% at Rs 2,38,557.67 crore for Q1FY27 as compared to Rs 2,23,605.04 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
