Lenskart Solutions surges as its arm gets nod to acquire 50% share capital of Sunrise Thailand

Lenskart Solutions is currently trading at Rs. 479.00, up by 12.75 points or 2.73% from its previous closing of Rs. 466.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 463.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 492.70 and Rs. 453.00 respectively. So far 642365 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 495.00 on 22-Dec-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 355.70 on 10-Nov-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 495.00 and Rs. 402.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 82623.19 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 17.57%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 74.16% and 8.26% respectively.

Lenskart Solutions’ wholly owned subsidiary – Lenskart Solutions Pte, Singapore (Lenskart Singapore) has received approval from Board of Directors for acquisition of 250,000 ordinary shares, representing 50% of the total issued share capital of Marco Optical (Thailand) Co (Sunrise Thailand), from Matt Optical Co (Matt Optical), an existing investor of Sunrise Thailand, pursuant to a term sheet entered into between the aforesaid parties.

Upon aforesaid acquisition, Sunrise Thailand will become a Joint Venture between Lenskart Singapore and Matt Optical, both holding 50% each of its issued share capital.

The aggregate overall investment commitment shall be THB 168,750,000 (equivalent of $5,000,000 based on the average exchange rate for CY2025). This amount includes the purchase of 250,000 ordinary shares of THB 100 each and the remaining amount shall be infused as loan that may be converted into equity in the future.

Lenskart Solutions is a technology-driven eyewear company with integrated operations spanning designing, manufacturing, branding and retailing of eyewear products. It primarily sells prescription eyeglasses, sunglasses, and other products such as contact lenses and eyewear accessories, under multiple brands and sub-brands.
