Lemon Tree Hotels surges on signing new property in Agartala

Lemon Tree Hotels is currently trading at Rs. 131.70, up by 1.85 points or 1.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 129.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 132.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 132.50 and Rs. 130.60 respectively. So far 10836 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 147.20 on 23-Feb-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 72.85 on 27-Mar-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 140.00 and Rs. 122.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 10287.32 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 23.21%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 37.81% and 38.98% respectively.

Lemon Tree Hotels has signed new property -- Lemon Tree Hotels, Agartala. The property is expected to open in FY27 and shall be managed by Carnation Hotels, a wholly-owned subsidiary and the management arm of Lemon Tree Hotels. Agartala, the capital of the north-eastern state of Tripura in India, is steeped in rich history and vibrant culture. Initially, a small town, Agartala flourished under the rule of the Manikya dynasty and later became a princely state under British colonial rule.

Lemon Tree Hotels, Agartala will feature 80 well-appointed rooms, two restaurants, a bar, banquet facilities, meeting rooms, a swimming pool, a fitness center and other public areas. The Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport is about 11 kms from the property, while the Agartala Railway Station is about 6.5 kms away. The hotel is connected by both public and private transport from all major cities in India. This is the first property of Lemon Tree Hotels in Tripura, a state which has several tourist attractions that showcase its natural beauty, cultural richness and the diversity of people along with the historical and religious monuments.

Lemon Tree Hotels is India’s largest hotel chain in the mid-priced hotel sector, and the third largest overall, on the basis of controlling interest in owned and leased rooms.
