L&T rises as its Metals & Minerals business vertical secures multiple 'Mega' orders

Larsen & Toubro is currently trading at Rs. 3829.55, up by 14.55 points or 0.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 3815.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 3825.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3,831.00 and Rs. 3810.50 respectively. So far 13336 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 4440.00 on 24-Feb-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 3288.65 on 23-Mar-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 3938.70 and Rs. 3762.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 525452.88 crore.

The institutions and non-institutions held 62.39% and 37.60% stake in the company respectively.

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) Metals & Minerals (M&M) business vertical has secured multiple ‘Mega’ orders from leading domestic metals and mining companies, reinforcing its leadership in delivering world-class engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) solutions across the metals and minerals value chain.

The first order is from a public sector company, India’s largest iron ore producer. As part of its expansion programme to achieve 100 MTPA of iron ore production capacity by 2030, the company has awarded L&T Package BE-01C of the 18 MTPA Iron Ore Handling Plant in Chhattisgarh. The scope includes design and engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of downhill conveyor system, screening plant, stockpile, yard equipment, Rapid Wagon Loading System (RWLS) and associated auxiliaries.

The second order is from another public sector Navratna company, which has undertaken the expansion of Steel Plant in West Bengal, from 2.5 MTPA to 7.1 MTPA. L&T has secured various Design & Build and Balance of Plant packages for this. L&T also continues its long-standing association with a major private sector metals producer, having secured an EPC order for a Zinc Processing Plant. The scope comprises design and engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning and associated site services, reaffirming L&T's expertise in delivering complex non-ferrous metal
