L&T gains as its PT&D business vertical bags Mega orders in India, abroad

Larsen & Toubro is currently trading at Rs. 3739.90, up by 54.40 points or 1.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 3685.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 3736.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3744.90 and Rs. 3708.05 respectively. So far 21677 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 4440.00 on 24-Feb-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 3288.65 on 23-Mar-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 3,858.50 and Rs. 3657.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 513979.33 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 62.39% and 37.60% stake in the company respectively.

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business vertical has secured multiple EPC orders (Mega) in India and abroad, for strengthening power transmission infrastructure and enabling renewable energy evacuation. L&T classifies orders in the Rs 10,000 crore to Rs 15,000 crore range as ‘Mega’.

In Saudi Arabia, PT&D has won orders in the 380 kV transmission and substation segments. The projects will support transmission capacity augmentation and renewable energy evacuation, thereby strengthening Saudi Arabia’s power transmission network and facilitating integration of renewable energy into the grid.

In the United Arab Emirates, the business has won an order for constructing 132/11 kV substations and associated cabling works. Then, in the domestic market in India, it has secured an order from a leading private sector developer for setting up a transmission system - comprising transmission lines and substations - in Visakhapatnam.
