JSW Steel moves up on reporting 8% rise in consolidated crude steel production in May 2025

JSW Steel is currently trading at Rs. 1007.15, up by 2.65 points or 0.26% from its previous closing of Rs. 1004.50 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 1009.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1017.00 and Rs. 1002.00 respectively. So far 16134 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1074.15 on 25-Mar-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 854.35 on 05-Aug-2024.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1017.00 and Rs. 962.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 246269.44 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 44.84%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.81% and 18.36% respectively.
JSW Steel has reported consolidated crude steel production for the month of May 2025 at 22.73 lakh tonnes as compared to 20.98 lakh tonnes in May 2024, higher by 8% Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y).
The company reported crude steel production of 21.94 lakh tonnes from Indian Operations in May 2025 over 20.13 lakh tonnes in May 2024, increased by 9%. The capacity utilisation for May 2025 at Indian Operations was at 80% primarily due to planned maintenance shutdown of one of the Blast Furnace at Dolvi. The Blast Furnace was restarted on May 30, 2025. JSW Steel USA - Ohio’s crude steel production stood at 0.79 lakh tonnes in May 2025.
