JSW Group Strengthens Leadership positions in Human Resources Function

In keeping with its constant endeavor to create a resilient and future-fit organization, the JSW Group - one of India’s leadingdiversified conglomerates,has strengthened its leadership team in the human resources function.

The Group has appointed Sandeep Batra as President & Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Steel & Corporate. Sandeep will lead the people, talent and culture agenda for JSW Steel and corporate functions, with a focus on organisational effectiveness, leadership capability, talent management and building a future-ready organisation.

He brings over three decades of experience in talent management, organisation design and productivity enhancement, across sectors including IT, consumer, telecom, retail, infrastructure and aviation. Prior to joining JSW Group, he served as Chief People Officer at Adani Airport Holdings Limited. His previous roles include leadership positions at Landmark Group and Vodafone India. He has also served as a Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army.

JSW has also appointed Shilpi Lal Sharma as the Group Head of Talent, Learning & Development and DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion). She will be responsible for driving the Group’s learning architecture, leadership development, succession planning, organisational development and inclusion agenda across businesses. She will report to Sandeep Batra, CHRO.

Shilpi brings over 20 years of experience across Talent Management, Learning & Development, with more than 15 years in senior leadership roles. She joins JSW Group from Welspun Group, where she led the Talent, Learning and OD function. Her earlier roles include leadership roles at National Stock Exchange India, UltraTech Cement and Edelweiss Asset Management.
