JSW Energy surges on reporting 42% jump in Q1 consolidated net profit

JSW Energy is currently trading at Rs. 521.80, up by 6.85 points or 1.33% from its previous closing of Rs. 514.95 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 532.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 533.65 and Rs. 512.65 respectively. So far 457522 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 804.95 on 24-Sep-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 419.10 on 17-Feb-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 533.65 and Rs. 512.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 91015.04 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.27%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.80% and 6.93% respectively.
JSW Energy has reported 36.19% fall in its net profit at Rs 161.86 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2025 (Q1FY26) as compared to Rs 253.66 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The total income of the company decreased by 9.56% at Rs 1055.24 crore for Q1FY26 as compared to Rs 1166.81 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
On consolidated basis, the company has reported 42.43% rise in its net profit at Rs 743.12 crore for Q1FY26 as compared to Rs 521.76 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The total income of the company increased by 77.85% at Rs 5411.24 crore for Q1FY26 as compared to Rs 3042.66 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
