JSW Energy rises as its arm gets CCI`s nod for acquisition of O2 Power Midco Holdings, O2 Energy SG

JSW Energy is currently trading at Rs. 537.20, up by 9.20 points or 1.74% from its previous closing of Rs. 528.00 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 534.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 537.60 and Rs. 525.40 respectively. So far 143670 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 804.95 on 24-Sep-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 419.10 on 17-Feb-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 540.00 and Rs. 506.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 93741.56 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.32%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.60% and 6.08% respectively.
JSW Energy’s wholly-owned subsidiary -- JSW Neo Energy has received Competition Commission of India’s (CCI) approval to acquire 100% shareholding of O2 Power Midco Holdings Pte and O2 Energy SG Pte.
O2 Power Midco Holdings Pte and O2 Energy SG Pte (collectively, referred as Targets), through their subsidiaries, are engaged in renewable power generation (wind and solar power generation).
Earlier, JSW Neo Energy had entered into a Share Purchase Agreement and acquired 100% shares of Virya Infrapower. Consequent to the above, Virya Infrapower has become a step-down subsidiary of the company.
