J&K hosts first Miss Universe J&K Pageant; Priyanka Pandita wins historic title
August 10 (ANI): Following the abrogation of Article 370 and significant changes in Jammu and Kashmir, the region witnessed its first-ever “Miss Universe J&K’ pageant. The event marked a notable shift from the area's previous challenges, such as terrorism and stone-pelting. The “Miss Universe J&K” pageant was successfully organized in Jammu and Kashmir, with Priyanka Pandita being crowned “Miss Universe J&K”. Aishwarya Pansari was named the First Runner-up and Arzoo Sharma took the title of Second Runner-up. The event was organized by Sana Dua, the only Miss India from J&K. The judging panel featured prominent figures, including Sana Dua, the first Miss India from J&K; Alankrita Sahai, Bollywood actress and model known for the song "Koka Koka"; and Sahil Salathia, Bollywood actor. The event was conducted under strict security measures.
