Indian Hotels Company rises on signing Taj hotel in Rameshwaram

The Indian Hotels Company is currently trading at Rs. 739.80, up by 13.50 points or 1.86% from its previous closing of Rs. 726.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 726.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 742.80 and Rs. 720.55 respectively. So far 25272 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 791.50 on 18-Sep-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 565.25 on 02-Apr-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 742.80 and Rs. 706.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 105305.52 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 38.12%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 46.29% and 15.59% respectively.

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed a Taj hotel in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu. This is a greenfield project. The 300-key Taj Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, is being developed across 70 acres in a phased manner and will include a wellness centre. The hotel will feature two speciality restaurants, a bar lounge and a pool bar. For meetings and social gatherings, the hotel will offer spacious banquet venue, convention spaces and meeting rooms. Recreational facilities will include a swimming pool, fitness centre and a spa with multiple treatment rooms.

With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 35 hotels in Tamil Nadu, including 16 under development.
