Great Eastern Shipping Company rises on delivering 2011 built Supramax dry bulk carrier

The Great Eastern Shipping Company is currently trading at Rs. 918.95, up by 7.75 points or 0.85% from its previous closing of Rs. 911.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 902.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 922.95 and Rs. 902.90 respectively. So far 12346 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1542.80 on 11-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 852.95 on 12-Feb-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 922.95 and Rs. 881.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 13112.45 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 30.07%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.24% and 29.68% respectively.

Great Eastern Shipping Company has delivered its 2011 built Supramax dry bulk carrier ‘Jag Rishi’ to the buyers. The vessel was contracted for sale in January 2025. Excluding Jag Rishi, company’s current fleet stands at 38 vessels, comprising 26 tankers (5 Crude carriers, 17 Product carriers, 4 LPG carriers) and 12 dry bulk carriers (2 Capesize, 8 Kamsarmax, 2 Supramax) aggregating 3.04 Mn dwt.

Earlier, on January 24, 2025, the company had contracted to sell its 2011 built Supramax Dry Bulk Carrier, Jag Rishi of about 56719 dwt to an unaffiliated third party.
