Government Buildings adorned in the colours of the national flag on Independence Day eve
The nation has been decked up for 78th Independence Day celebrations. Major cities across the country were illuminated in the colours of the national flag. Popular monuments from cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Karnataka glowed up in tricolour on Independence Day eve. The historic Qutub Minar was adorned with lights as part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations and looked magical. Roads, trees, and parks around the monuments gave mesmerising views after being illuminated. PM Modi will hoist the national flag from the ramparts of the iconic Red Fort on Aug 15 morning to a 21-gun salute. In view of the special day, security across the nation has been beefed up to keep a vigil on every move
