Godrej Consumer Products inches up on investing Rs 200 crore in Godrej Pet Care

Godrej Consumer Products is currently trading at Rs. 1058.35, up by 0.50 points or 0.05% from its previous closing of Rs. 1057.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1051.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1062.20 and Rs. 1045.95 respectively. So far 1907 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1308.40 on 04-Sep-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 967.25 on 02-Apr-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1082.05 and Rs. 1038.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 107958.67 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.05%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.92% and 15.03% respectively.

Godrej Consumer Products has invested Rs 200 crore in its subsidiary -- Godrej Pet Care (formerly known as Godrej Consumer Care) to fund the business operations, growth plans and capital requirements of Godrej Pet Care. The investment has been done through subscription of 1,61,29,032 fully paid-up equity shares of face value Rs 10 each, issued by Godrej Pet Care on a rights basis, at a premium of Rs 114 per equity share. Post this investment, the company continues to hold 100% of the total voting capital of Godrej Pet Care. 

Earlier, the Board of Directors of the company at its meeting on August 7, 2024, had approved the entry of the company into Pet Care business through Godrej Pet Care.
