GMR Airports rises as its arm acquires 60% stake in GTCSA

GMR Airports is currently trading at Rs. 90.42, up by 1.05 points or 1.17% from its previous closing of Rs. 89.37 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 89.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 90.51 and Rs. 88.90 respectively. So far 63545 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 100.70 on 02-Aug-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 67.75 on 28-Feb-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 92.43 and Rs. 88.16 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 95326.43 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.24%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.19% and 13.57% respectively.

GMR Airports’ wholly owned step-down Subsidiary--GMR Airports Greece Single Member S.A. (GAGSMSA) has incorporated and acquired by way of subscription to the Memorandum of Association, 6,00,000 shares of Euro 1 each aggregating to Euro 6,00,000 (approximately Rs 6 crore) representing 60% of the paid up share capital of GMR Terna Commercial S.A.(GTCSA), a Limited Liability Company, incorporated in Athens, Greece. 

GTCSA will be engaged in undertaking the non-aeronautical businesses at the Crete Airport, also known as New Heraklion International Airport at Kasteli, Greece. GTCSA is yet to commence its business operations. The said transaction will be in furtherance of the existing business of GAGSMSA with regard to development, operation and maintenance of the Crete airport at Kasteli, Greece Airport and would also strengthen the Airport adjacencies/ Airport related businesses of the Company.

GMR Airports (formerly GMR Airports Infrastructure), a subsidiary of GEPL, is engaged in development, operation and maintenance of airports along with offering integrated security solutions.
