GMR Airports gains on reporting marginal rise in passenger traffic in August

GMR Airports reported a marginal year-on-year (Y-o-Y) increase in passenger traffic (excluding Cebu) to 94,35,576 in August 2026. Delhi Airport handled 60,83,616 passengers, marking a 2.7% Y-o-Y increase, while Hyderabad Airport recorded 21,86,082 passengers, reflecting a 11.5% Y-o-Y decline. Mopa (Goa) Airport registered 2,92,546 passengers, down 22.8% Y-o-Y during the month. Nagpur Airport handled 2,20,068 passengers, declining 5.9% Y-o-Y, while Bhogapuram Airport handled 1,05,171 passengers. Medan (Indonesia) Airport handled 5,48,093 passengers, down 4.8% Y-o-Y. Cebu (Philippines) Airport handled 9,03,322 passengers, registering a 4.1% Y-o-Y decline.
For August 2026, aircraft movements (excluding Cebu) increased 6.3% Y-o-Y to 62,498. Of the total, Delhi Airport witnessed 38,861 aircraft movements, up 11.6% Y-o-Y, while Hyderabad saw 14,583 aircraft movements, down 14.2% Y-o-Y. Mopa (Goa) reported 2,227 aircraft movements, declining 20.7% Y-o-Y, while Nagpur Airport recorded 1,969 movements, up 13.3% Y-o-Y. Medan (Indonesia) recorded 4,109 aircraft movements, down 1.5% Y-o-Y, while Cebu (Philippines) Airport witnessed 6,945 aircraft movements, declining 9.9% Y-o-Y.
