Global Healthcare & Pharma Leaders Meet at Galgotias` Mega Event – Pharmainnovate 2025

The second day of the 2nd PHARMAINNOVATE SUMMIT 2025, an International Conference on “From Molecule to Medicine: Drug Development, Drug Delivery & Life-Saving Therapies,” witnessed a series of thought-provoking lectures, a poster presentation session, and a graceful valedictory ceremony.

The second day of the conference began with an enlightening session by Dr. Anna Orlova, from Uppsala University, Sweden, delivered a comprehensive lecture on “Development of Theranostics Targeting Prostate Cancer.” She elaborated on the emerging field of theranostics, which integrates diagnostic imaging and targeted therapy into a single platform. Dr. Orlova showcased innovative radiopharmaceuticals designed to identify, track, and simultaneously treat prostate cancer cells, enabling more precise and personalized cancer management. Her session emphasized how such dual-function agents are revolutionizing oncology by improving detection accuracy and therapeutic outcomes.

This was followed by Dr. Olga Borges from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, presented an engaging talk on “From Nose to Immunity: The Future of Intranasal COVID-19 Vaccines.” Her session explored the science behind nasal immunization, focusing on how mucosal immunity can provide stronger and faster protection against respiratory viruses. She highlighted the potential of intranasal vaccines to improve global vaccination strategies through needle-free delivery, ease of administration, and enhanced immune response at the primary infection site.

The session concluded with Dr. Aliasgar Sahiwala, from the College of Pharmacy, Dubai, who offered valuable insights into “Nanosponges for Drug Delivery Applications.” He described nanosponges as highly porous, versatile carriers capable of encapsulating drugs, enhancing their solubility, and providing controlled release. Dr. Sahiwala detailed their potential in delivering both hydrophilic and hydrophobic drugs, along with their relevance in dermatology, oncology, and targeted therapies, positioning nanosponges as a promising platform for future pharmaceutical innovations.

Poster Presentation Session by research scholars added a vibrant academic touch, with entries evaluated by the Scientific Committee.

The event concluded with a dignified valedictory ceremony, during which Dr. Vikram Sharma commended the organizing committee for their exemplary efforts and congratulated all participants for their meaningful contributions. He highlighted the academic calibre of the conference and appreciated the spirit of innovation demonstrated by researchers and students.

Expressing gratitude, Dr. Shaheen Sultana, Professor of Galgotias College of Pharmacy, extended heartfelt thanks to all speakers, delegates, and attendees for making the two-day international conference a resounding success.

The 2nd PHARMAINNOVATE SUMMIT 2025 reaffirmed Galgotias College of Pharmacy’s commitment to promoting global research collaborations and advancing innovation in pharmaceutical sciences.
