Garden Reach Shipbuilders jumps on getting Navratna status

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers is currently trading at Rs. 2853.95, up by 56.65 points or 2.03% from its previous closing of Rs. 2797.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2880.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2935.00 and Rs. 2845.00 respectively. So far 151429 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3535.00 on 23-Jun-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1965.00 on 30-Mar-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2,935.00 and Rs. 2643.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 32695.43 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.50%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.20% and 20.31% respectively.

Garden Reach Shipbuilders has been accorded Navratna status by the Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. This was in recognition of the shipyard's consistent financial and physical performance over the years. Navratna status allows Public Sector Enterprises to make larger investments, enhancing their ability and expand operations. 

The elevation to a Navratna status for the company comes at a time when the shipyard is in an expansion mode. It has embarked on a mission to increase capacity through both brownfield and greenfield projects.
