Fortis Healthcare shines on signing agreements with SLJ Society to provide Healthcare Services
Fortis Healthcare is currently trading at Rs. 888.75, up by 20.25 points or 2.33% from its previous closing of Rs. 868.50 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 878.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 889.05 and Rs. 874.20 respectively. So far 17893 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1105.00 on 13-Oct-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 767.30 on 02-Apr-2026.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 903.60 and Rs. 862.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 67096.91 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 31.17%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 57.43% and 11.40% respectively.
Fortis Healthcare has signed definitive agreements with Seth Sunder Lal Jain Charitable Eye Hospital, a society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Punjab Amendment) (SLJ Society) to provide healthcare services to a 400 plus bedded super specialty hospital at Ashok Vihar, New Delhi. The hospital is expected to commence operations in 3-4 years, subject to necessary approvals. The agreements have been executed by the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Fortis Hospotel (FHTL).
Under the Healthcare Services Agreement (HSA), FHTL has long term exclusive rights to provide specified inpatient healthcare services and specialized equipment such as Cath Lab, LINAC, PET-CT, Surgical Robot, etc. in consideration of an agreed service fee to be paid by SLJ Society. FHTL shall also bring-in necessary clinical manpower for provision of such healthcare services. The HSA has a committed term of 29 years, with an option to extend for further period on mutually agreed terms.
The hospital will be owned, operated and managed by SLJ Society and the company will be providing the healthcare services to SLJ Society. The land, building and the associated civil and certain medical infrastructure will be owned and developed by the SLJ Society itself. For the purposes of construction, upgradation and operation of the Hospital, FHTL will also provide a loan to the Society in a phased manner over the next 3-4 years basis construction progress.
