FIIs stood as net sellers in equities as per October 08 data: NSDL
The FIIs as per Thursday's data were net sellers in equity segment, while they were net buyers in debt segment, according to data released by the NSDL.
In equity segment, the gross buying was of Rs 13368.88 crore against gross selling of Rs 19524.63 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 6155.75 crore in equities.
In the debt segment, the gross purchase was of Rs 5085.32 crore with gross sales of Rs 1556.14 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 3529.18 crore in debt.
Of the total debt, FIIs stood as net buyers in Debt-General Limit segment at Rs 3497.94 crore, they stood at net buyers in Debt-FAR segment at Rs 140.06 crore, while net sellers in Debt-VRR segment at Rs 108.82 crore.
In the hybrid segment, the gross buying was of Rs 32.53 crore against gross selling of Rs 49.13 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 16.60 crore in hybrid segment.
