FIIs stood as net sellers in equities as per January 23 data: NSDL
The FIIs as per Friday's data were net sellers in equity segment, while they were net buyers in debt segment, according to data released by the NSDL.
In equity segment, the gross buying was of Rs 17578.63 crore against gross selling of Rs 19842.81 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 2264.18 crore in equities.
In the debt segment, the gross purchase was of Rs 4912.87 crore with gross sales of Rs 3501.47 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 1411.40 crore in debt.
Of the total debt, FIIs stood as net sellers in Debt-General Limit segment at Rs 1030.93 crore, they stood at net sellers in Debt-VRR segment at Rs 227.09 crore, while net buyers in Debt-FAR segment at Rs 2669.42 crore.
In the hybrid segment, the gross buying was of Rs 14.43 crore against gross selling of Rs 38.32 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 23.89 crore in hybrid segment.
