FIIs stood as net sellers in equities as per December 17 data: NSDL
The FIIs as per Wednesday's data were net sellers in equity segment, while they were net buyers in debt segment, according to data released by the NSDL.
In equity segment, the gross buying was of Rs 11580.20 crore against gross selling of Rs 13005.16 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 1424.96 crore in equities.
In the debt segment, the gross purchase was of Rs 4579.07 crore with gross sales of Rs 3780.68 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 798.39 crore in debt.
Of the total debt, FIIs stood as net buyers in Debt-General Limit segment at Rs 684.45 crore, they stood at net buyers in Debt-VRR segment at Rs 324.80 crore, while net sellers in Debt-FAR segment at Rs 210.86 crore.
In the hybrid segment, the gross buying was of Rs 28.26 crore against gross selling of Rs 34.52 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 6.26 crore in hybrid segment.
