Equirus Asset Management Appoints Dilip Kumar RV as Independent Director
Equirus Asset Management, part of the Equirus Group, has announced the appointment of Mr. Dilip Kumar RV as an Independent Director on its Board. The appointment comes as the firm continues to expand its portfolio management and alternative investment platforms and further strengthens the governance and strategic oversight of the business.
Mr. Dilip Kumar RV brings over two decades of experience across venture capital, financial services and impact investing. Over the years, he has been closely associated with the development of India’s venture capital ecosystem and has supported several portfolio companies in their growth journey. He brings deep expertise in institutional fund management, governance frameworks and long-term capital deployment across emerging sectors.
He has been associated with SIDBI Ventures since its inception in 1999, initially joining the founding team on deputation from SIDBI. During this period, he played an important role in the establishment as also growth of SIDBI Ventures. He has served on the boards of several portfolio companies across sectors as Nominee Director for funds managed by SIDBI Ventures.
In 2007, he joined SIDBI Ventures full-time as Vice President and subsequently held a number of senior leadership roles, including Senior Vice President & CFO (a Key Managerial Position), and later Chief Executive Officer. During his tenure, he contributed significantly to the firm’s investment strategy, governance practices, and portfolio development across multiple sectors.
Over the years, he has built a reputation as a seasoned institutional leader with a wealth of experience in fund management, portfolio building, governance and strategic advisory. His work has focused on building long-term value through disciplined investing, adherence to strong institutional processes, good governance, ESG principles and responsible stewardship.
