Copper futures trade down on Monday
Copper futures were trading lower in early deals on Monday as traders stayed cautious ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s monetary policy meeting this week. Although, a weaker American currency, tight global supply conditions and fears of potential US tariffs have capped the losses for the copper prices.
Copper futures for March delivery fell $0.02 or 0.37% at $5.4420 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
