Union Minister of Civil Aviation Minister, Ram Mohan Naidu launched Digi Yatra at Visakhapatnam Airport on September 06.
On the launch of Digi Yatra facility at 9 more airports including Vishakhapatnam airport, Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu said, “I am very happy to announce that we launched Digi Yatra facility at 9 more airports across the country today. Till today, in 15 existing airports, Digi Yatra has been used 3 crore times with 54 lakh downloads of the app. We are ensuring that each airport should have this facility. With Digi Yatra, you can clear the checkpoints in a matter of seconds. We are excited about this launch today. We have observed hesitation with some people regarding data privacy issues regarding ID details. We assure all passengers that this is a very secure system handled by the government. We have taken full notice of the privacy issue and ensure there is no data leakage. We want to encourage more passengers to use this. We want to build over 350 more airports in the country. We want to become an aviation hub in the world.”
