Castor seed futures trade lower on rising arrivals
Castor seed futures traded lower on NCDEX, as speculators trimmed their positions due to rising arrivals from key producing regions such as Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh. Further, slackened domestic demand and poor export enquires too weighed on trading sentiments.
The contract for January delivery was trading at Rs 6575.00 lower by 0.11% or Rs 7.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6,582.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 14,310 lots.
The contract for February delivery was trading at Rs 6620.00 lower by 0.30% or Rs 20.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6,640.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 12,450 lots on NCDEX.
