Sharing his expectations from the upcoming Interim Budget 2024, Wonderchef CEO and Founder Ravi Saxena on January 30 said that the government should work on manufacturing Integrated Circuits. He also asserted that government should implement PLI scheme in more industries like home appliances to reduce imports and increase in-home production.
Ravi Saxena said, “First request to the government would be that the things that can be produced in India should be encouraged. The PLI scheme should also cover more industries like home appliances to reduce imports and increase in-home production... It is a one lakh crore industry... The second point is that we do not manufacture integrated circuits in India... All the ICs and PCBs are imported... Government should work on manufacturing Integrated Circuits.”
