Birla Corporation gains on completing acquisition of 6.04% stake in CGE II Hybrid Energy

Birla Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 1383.95, up by 10.00 points or 0.73% from its previous closing of Rs. 1373.95 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 1374.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1396.65 and Rs. 1366.10 respectively. So far 1367 shares were traded on the counter.

Birla Corporation has completed acquisition of 6.04% equity shares of CGE II Hybrid Energy to source wind-solar power as a captive consumer for a capacity of upto 6 MW for its plant located in Chanderia, Rajasthan. The company now holds 6.04% equity shares in CGE II Hybrid Energy.
Birla Corporation is primarily engaged in the manufacturing of cement as its core business activity. It has significant presence in the jute goods industry as well.
