Bihar: Dalai Lama inaugurates first International Sangha Forum in Bodh Gaya
Tibetan Spiritual leader Dalai Lama inaugurated the three-day International Sangha Forum 2023 in Bodh Gaya on December 20. Organised jointly by the Office of Dalai Lama and the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), the forum will be held from December 20-22. The event will see discussions among monks, nuns, and Bhikkhu scholars, that delve into the profound teachings of Buddhism.
Abhijit Halder, the Director General of IBC said, “This program is very important as the environment around us is changing, especially distraction due to climate change. The Buddhist teaching can be implemented to control natural disasters. Gautam Buddha said centuries back that nature reacts to your action.”
