In an exclusive conversation with ANI, the star cast of ‘The Naxal Story’, including actors Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Director Sudipto Sen, opened up about their roles and the theme of their Movie, which is set to release on March 15 in theatres.
Actor Vipul Amrutlal Shah said, “We do not want any controversy; we create our films with complete honesty and truth. When Dada showed me the complete research on Bastar, I witnessed the violence there. Seventy-six soldiers were killed, and the whole world knows about it. When celebrations happen in JNU for the death of soldiers in our highly reputed university, it saddened us then, and it still saddens us today. In our country, there is an area where all this is happening, and 90% of the people are not aware of it, so it is essential to bring this in front of those people.”
Director Sudipto Sen said, “Historically the roles which cinema plays, is also a significant problem. I don’t want to talk about it now, but we want to keep the people of the country away from issues, the conspiracy to divert from real issues. The wrong meaning of entertainment has been conveyed to people.”
