Axis Bank declines despite reporting 6% rise in Q1 consolidated net profit

Axis Bank is currently trading at Rs. 1160.70, down by 79.05 points or 6.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 1239.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1206.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1206.95 and Rs. 1156.00 respectively. So far 422025 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1339.55 on 12-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 921.00 on 28-Aug-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1305.90 and Rs. 1156.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 358557.51 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 8.31%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 85.06% and 6.64% respectively.

Axis Bank has reported 4.10% rise in its net profit at Rs 6034.64 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2024 as compared to Rs 5797.10 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 16.97% at Rs 35844.22 crore for Q1FY25 as compared to Rs 30644.04 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the bank has reported 5.76% rise in net profit at Rs 6450.03 crore for Q1FY25 as compared to Rs 6098.95 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 18.50% at Rs 37795.88 crore for Q1FY25 as compared to Rs 31894.20 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
